This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect your personal data when you visit elitewoodworkingmachinery.ie, contact us, or buy from or use the services of Elite Woodworking Machinery. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are
The data controller is Lumineire Ltd trading as Elite Woodworking Machinery Ireland (“Elite Woodworking Machinery”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a company registered in Ireland with company number 663117. Our registered office is Unit 5, Tudor Lodge, Powerstown Road, Clonee, Dublin 15, D15 AXF4, Ireland.
If you have any questions about this policy or about how we use your data, contact us at info@elitewoodworkingmachinery.ie, by phone on +353 (0) 1 699 1516, or by post at the address above.
2. The information we collect and why we use it
We only collect the personal data we need. It depends on how you deal with us:
Enquiries and quote requests (contact, product enquiry, service booking and event forms).
- What we collect: your name, phone number, email address, Eircode, the make, model and serial number of a machine (service requests), the product or service you are asking about, your message, the page you sent the form from, and the date and time you sent it.
- Why: to reply to you, prepare quotes, arrange servicing or events, and manage the resulting relationship with you.
- Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries. We ask you to tick a permission box before you submit a form.
Newsletter sign-up.
- What we collect: your email address (and name if you give it).
- Why: to send you news and updates about our machinery, services and events.
- Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
Customers and orders.
- What we collect: your name, company, billing and delivery address, contact details, order and payment details (card details are handled by our payment provider and are not stored by us), and any account details you set up.
- Why: to supply goods and services, take payment, deliver, provide warranty and after-sales support, keep accounting records and deal with finance applications.
- Legal basis: performing our contract with you, and complying with legal obligations such as tax and accounting law.
Phone calls, emails and meetings. If you contact us directly, we keep the details you give us (and our notes of the conversation) for the same purposes as above.
Website use.
- What we collect: technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and how you arrived at the site, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 7).
- Why: to keep the website secure, understand how it is used and improve it.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interests in running a secure, effective website and, for analytics cookies, your consent where the law requires it.
We may also use your details to meet legal obligations, to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, and, where you are an existing customer, to tell you about similar products and services, which you can opt out of at any time.
3. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with organisations that help us run our business, who may only use it on our instructions:
- Website hosting and maintenance providers that host the site and keep it secure and up to date.
- Email delivery services (such as SMTP2GO) that send the messages generated by our forms to our team and to you.
- Our customer relationship management (CRM) system (HighLevel), where enquiries are recorded so we can follow them up.
- Google, which provides website analytics (Google Analytics), spam protection on our forms (reCAPTCHA) and the Google Reviews shown on our pages.
- Our payment processor, which takes online payments on our behalf.
- Finance and delivery partners, only if you ask us to arrange finance or delivery, and only the details needed for that purpose.
- Professional advisers, auditors and authorities where we have to by law or need advice to protect our rights.
4. Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Some of our providers, including Google and our CRM provider, are based in or use servers in countries outside the EEA, such as the United States. Where this happens we make sure the transfer is protected, for example because the provider is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or we have put EU Standard Contractual Clauses in place.
5. How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it for:
- Enquiries that do not lead to a sale are kept for as long as is reasonably needed to deal with the enquiry and any follow-up, and are then deleted or anonymised.
- Customer, order and finance records are kept for the length of our relationship and then for the period the law requires (for example, tax records are kept for six years).
- Newsletter details are kept until you withdraw your consent.
- Website analytics data is kept for the period set in our analytics settings.
6. Keeping your data safe
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse, including secure (HTTPS) connections, access controls and trusted service providers. No online service can be completely secure, so please take care when sending information over the internet.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files that a website stores on your device. We use:
- Essential cookies that keep the site working, for example to remember the contents of your basket, keep you logged in to your account and protect forms against spam.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) that tell us, in aggregate, how many people visit, which pages they view and how they found us.
- Third-party content such as embedded YouTube videos and Google Reviews, which may set their own cookies when you view them.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google provides a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site, such as the basket, from working.
8. Your rights
Under data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to erase your data, in certain circumstances;
- ask us to restrict how we use your data, in certain circumstances;
- object to us using your data where we rely on our legitimate interests, including for direct marketing;
- receive your data in a structured, commonly used format (data portability), where we use it based on your consent or a contract; and
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
To use any of these rights, email us at info@elitewoodworkingmachinery.ie or call +353 (0) 1 699 1516. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will reply within one month.
9. Making a complaint
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission: Data Protection Commission, 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28, Ireland, www.dataprotection.ie.
10. Children
Our website and services are aimed at businesses, schools and other organisations, not at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
11. Links to other websites
Our site may link to other websites, such as our suppliers, social media pages and the organisations we work with. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies before sharing any personal data with them.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
