Elite Woodworking Machinery was proud to represent Fingal at the National Ploughing Championships 2026, joining businesses from across Ireland in the Local Enterprise Village for three fantastic days of demonstrations, conversations and new connections.

With approximately 243,000 people attending this year’s event, the National Ploughing Championships gave us an incredible opportunity to introduce Elite Woodworking Machinery and our range of professional woodworking and saw milling equipment to customers from across Ireland.

Bringing Elite Woodworking Machinery to a National Audience

Supported by Fingal Local Enterprise Office, we were one of 30 Local Enterprise Office-supported businesses selected to exhibit in the Local Enterprise Village.

For our team, it was an opportunity to showcase what Elite Woodworking Machinery is all about.

We supply premium woodworking and saw milling machinery to customers throughout Ireland, working with manufacturers, joinery businesses, workshops, sawmills and rural enterprises to provide equipment tailored to their individual requirements.

Alongside supplying machinery, we place a strong emphasis on expert advice and dependable after-sales support, helping our customers get the right equipment for their business and supporting them long after installation.

Elite Woodworking Machinery also holds the exclusive Irish distribution rights for Wood-Mizer, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of portable sawmills and wood-processing equipment.

Three Fantastic Days at the Ploughing

The National Ploughing Championships gave us the chance to meet an enormous range of people face-to-face, from existing customers and industry professionals to people discovering Elite Woodworking Machinery for the first time.

Over the three days, there was a fantastic level of interest in our machinery and the solutions we provide.

Paula O’Connor of Elite Woodworking Machinery said:

“Taking part in the Local Enterprise Village at this year’s National Ploughing Championships was a fantastic opportunity for Elite Woodworking Machinery. Over the three days, we had the chance to showcase our equipment to a huge audience, speak directly with potential customers and make valuable new connections.

“We were delighted with the level of interest we received and very proud to represent Fingal at such a major national event.

“We are extremely grateful to Local Enterprise Office Fingal for their continued support and for giving us the opportunity to take part. We are looking forward to returning next year.”

Proud to Represent Fingal

Being selected to represent Fingal at one of Ireland’s biggest annual events was something our entire team was extremely proud of.

Oisín Geoghegan, Head of Enterprise at Local Enterprise Office Fingal, commented on Elite Woodworking Machinery’s participation:

“It was fantastic to see Elite Woodworking Machinery representing Fingal at this year’s National Ploughing Championships. This was a valuable opportunity to showcase their products to a national audience, meet potential customers and make new connections.

“Opportunities like this can have a real impact for a small business well beyond the event itself, helping to raise their profile and open doors to future growth.”

The Local Enterprise Village brought together businesses from throughout Ireland across a diverse range of sectors, providing a platform for Irish companies to showcase their products, services and expertise to the thousands of visitors attending each day.

Visitors could also access specialist business advice through the Village’s Business Advice Hub, while experts from Google provided guidance on how businesses can make greater use of AI and digital technologies.

The Enterprise Europe Network also participated in the Village for the first time, providing information and advice to Irish businesses interested in exploring new markets and building relationships across the European Union.

Looking Forward to 2027

After such a positive experience this year, we’re already looking forward to the next National Ploughing Championships.

The event returns in 2027 from 21–23 September in Rathangan, Co. Kildare, and we hope to have the opportunity to be part of it once again.

Most importantly, we would like to thank everyone who visited the Elite Woodworking Machinery stand during the three days.

Whether you stopped by to see our machinery, discuss an upcoming project, learn more about Wood-Mizer or simply have a chat with the team, it was a pleasure to meet you.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to Local Enterprise Office Fingal for their ongoing support and for giving Elite Woodworking Machinery the opportunity to represent Fingal on such a significant national stage.

We’ll see you at the Ploughing in 2027!
