We’re Hiring – Service Technician Woodworking Machinery

Location: Dublin, Ireland
Position Type: Full-Time
Department: Technical Service
Reporting to: Service / Operations Manager

About the Role

We are expanding our technical team and are looking for a motivated and dependable Service Technician with experience in woodworking machinery.

This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing a range of industrial woodworking equipment while delivering high-quality technical support to our customers both on-site and remotely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation and commissioning of woodworking machinery at customer premises
  • Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
  • Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and software faults
  • Providing remote troubleshooting and technical assistance
  • Completing detailed service reports and maintaining accurate documentation
  • Delivering basic operator training and safety guidance to customers
  • Working closely with internal sales and parts teams to support customer requirements
  • Maintaining company vehicle, tools, and equipment
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety standards and manufacturer guidelines

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline
  • Previous experience servicing industrial or woodworking machinery
  • Strong fault-finding ability across mechanical and electrical systems
  • Understanding of CNC systems and automated equipment
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Strong communication skills and a professional customer-focused approach
  • Willingness to travel nationwide (occasional overseas travel may be required)
  • Full, clean driving licence

Advantageous (Not Essential)

  • Experience with leading woodworking machinery brands
  • Knowledge of PLC systems and CNC controls
  • Relevant safety certifications (e.g. Safe Pass, Manual Handling)
